The food is worth it, but the wait was not what we are used to. Bring time with you and don't be starving walking. At that time both my daughter and I already had both appetizers and entrees. My wife's soup arrived after her dinner salad. Our waitress kept checking and apologizing. They kept turning out great food, but not in a timely manner. One word of caution - the kitchen was certainly not prepared for the crowds. The food was excellent - much better than I would have expected, so much so that we will definitively return. My wife had a Mango Dinner Salad and a French Onion Soup. I selected a Kung Pao Calamari dish as an appetizer from the regular menu and a Salmon Shrimp dish from the daily specials. The menu is that of a sports bar, a lot of sandwiches, wings, etc., but also a limited selection of salads, soups, and a great daily special menu. The restaurant was quite busy but we still were seated immediately. We did go to the restaurant side and found a rustic decor with a functioning fireplace and two good size dining rooms.
There are two entrance doors, one for the bar and one for the restaurant. We are local and selected this place for a Saturday night dinner after my daughter's dance recital. This is not your typical sports bar it goes a step or two beyond. It does not serve deep fat fried previously frozen food. Do not be put off by the fact that it is a sports bar. The best thing I ever had there was a special, an open faced prime rib sandwich that actually had a whole piece of prime rib on it, not 1/4 lb of shaved steak. Our two vegetarians are usually happy there, too. Their chili is very tasty, with a hint of cinnamon up front and a spicy kick in the back end. It is a wonderful caesar salad with a few hefty pieces of tender steak, maybe tenderloin but I am not sure, more steak than you would expect for the price. I have frequently had the caesar with steak on it for $13.00. What is more, their menu is even bigger than it seems, because they have "build your own" options among the salads, the pizzas, and the burgers. The service is always pleasant and helpful. I have had wings there, and they stand up well to any other place in the area. They have a decent slate of specials every night, and some of those are mouthwatering. It seems like a standard sports bar from the outside and even from a rudimentary glance at the menu, but it isn't. This has become our family's default dinner choice.
